Product Description
MacEntry™ is an easy to use yet powerful Macintosh application for acquiring the automatic login passwords of Mac OS X based computers. Simply launch MacEntry, and the account name and the auto login password of the acquired drive will be displayed prominently within a few seconds.
Out of the box, a Macintosh will set itself up to log in as the first account created by the Setup Assistant. For a single-user machine, you will be able to get to Mac OS X’s Desktop bypassing login window when you start up or restart the computer. The password is only required during installation of new software, or Mac OS X maintenance mode, such as changing system preferences. MacEntry is designed to extract the password.
MacEntry is extremely straightforward to use. Immediately after start-up, the user will be presented with the MacEntry splash screen. Once this has disappeared, the user will be taken to the ‘Main Window’. Under Devices, the user will find the name of the volume, the user name, and the password (if automatic login on that drive is enabled).
MacEntry can be used on disk images acquired by forensic utilities such as MacForensicsLab™, MacImager™, or Duplicator™. Simply mount the disk image and launch MacEntry, and the account name and auto login password of the acquired drive will be displayed prominently.
System Requirements:
- OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or above
- Built for OS X Yosemite
- Intel based Macintosh
